We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who are at risk. Our primary focus is on meeting the essential daily living needs of these individuals, ensuring they are supported in their everyday lives.

What We Do

To acheive this goal, we collect gently used medical equipment and incontinence supplies. These resources are carefully gathered from our community and beyond, ensuring that only items in good condition are provided.

How We Help

All collected equipment and supplies are distributed free of charge to those in need. By removing financial barriers, we strive to make these necessary items accessible, directly contributing to the improved well-being and quality of life of the individuals we serve.

How We Started

The Dancing Goat got it’s start as a 4-H project for one young girl, Leah, whose objective was to serve her community and those in it that are disabled. In doing this, Leah began collecting gently used medical equipment from individuals and families in the area. Her goal was to offer this medical equipment for free to those in need in Rockingham County.

As Leah began to help and serve her community by delivering the equipment, the demand and amount of referrals grew exponentially. This led to her mom, Kathy, taking notice of a specific group of people who were under-served.

Kathy started the research process in how to acquire funds, grants, donations and eventually the 501c3 status to extend what began as a 4-H project into a fully functioning, legal non-profit organization.

The Dancing Goat now serves Rockingham County, NC entirely and some parts of the surrounding counties.
